I spent some time this week installing the Kitaco Rearsets on the CRF50. It took quite a bit of tweaking to fit these pieces due to the tight clearances between the kick start lever and swingarm. I think this is due to the kit originally being designed for the monkey, but in the end… it was worth it. =)
This past weekend I decided to get some work done on the CRF50. Here’s the intial mock up with a Baja Monkey front end and a +2 G-craft swing arm.
In case anyone wanted to make their own adapter or just wanted to trace the wires, I took some close up pics.
I took the monkey out today with no destination in mind, so I just rode and rode until I ended up at the Starbucks on Melrose. I chatted with some cool people and afterwords decided to visit my girlfriend in Century City. She followed me back home and took some pictures. =)
I ran into quite a bit of problems installing the Over Racing Rearsets (backstep) on the Jincheng frame. I used 8mm derlin spacers between the T plate and frame which I made from a chain roller. This however created more complications… (more…)

I opted to use electrolysis to remove the rust from inside the tank mainly because I’ve seen others doing it with good results and it does not remove metal in the process. Afterwords, I sealed the inside of the tank with POR15.
This was my first Honda 50. This is how it all started.
